REVIEW: Skydiving with a few TAs and people
HOLY FACK!
So I pull up at like 11:15am, and i'm the first one there, no one else had shown up yet, and we were having to train at 11:30am. SO, a few more showed up, and we had enough to do training, and lindsay and the rest were to show up later cause they were massive late haha. Watched the training video, which had trance music in it haha. Then we signed all these forms, pretty much stating if we die its not their fault, we cant sue them, blah blah blah, wait what!?? DIE??! lol
So we do the training, with a hilarious instructor guy. How to exit the plane, how to properly arch our backs, all this stuff. Then the time came where we meet each of our tandem jumpers to be attached to. My guy had 72 hours of jumping experience, 5000 jumps just about.
So get on the plane, and get off the ground. To this point, I had NEVER been in a plane before, and I would be fuckin jumping out of it! LOL! So we kept going higher and higher back and forth over the ground below. We were flying over lake erie and back over the ground gaining altitude. Started flying thur some clouds close to 2000', and then above them around maybe 5000' not exactly sure. Anyway, we climbed to 14,000', and got ready to jump the fack out of the plane!
Me and my tandem jumper, get close to the door thats open, 1, 2, 3, jump! We exit the plane and holy fack, were falling! At first I forgot to arch my back, but I quickly got back into that so we could fall properly and not upside down lol. The wind when your falling is just crazy. All you hear is wind noise, and no matter how good you try to smile, your face is getting pulled back so it looks hilarious! You try to breath with your mouth open but you cant that good and your cheeks fill with air, cause your falling at 200km/h, 120mph! We spun around a couple times, my jumper pulled my face up to remind me to look at the camera haha, then I was staring at my video guy filming me, totally fackin loving it!
The chute was pulled at around 5000' and it really sucks you up when it opens and you slow right down. My ears fucking KILLED when that happend, because of all the pressure from up there to down where the chute opened. You have to try and clean them and swallow, or hold your nose and keep popping them so you can hear again haha. Then it was all calm, flying around at 4500', talking to my tandem jumper and looking around. You could see the mist from the falls, far out over lake erie, and all over the place. So peaceful and quiet up there actually. He gave me the straps and got me to go into some turns and flare the chute, the coolest thing ever! When you pull hard on it and turn, it feels like your outta control and will fall to the ground when you swing around haha. We were up there for liek 5minutes roughly, so fuckin awesome. Then the landing came, raised my knees, and jumped my feet when told to, and landed on the ground in a stop, perfectly and just stood up on my legs haha.
That was one of the crazyest things i've ever done, it was just insane and amazing, and I'll do it again for sure
First time ever in a plane, and jumping out of it = awesome
It's hard to look good at 200km/h, so give me a break hahaha
