FLTA Beach Bash 7-29-06 review + pics
After quite some time away from TA, Manny (MJM420) returned with a vengeance, and how! He organized yet another killer party. This one at the same location as last year's going away party for Ingrid (likittysplit), Hobie Beach.
The weather was looking pretty grim at first, but eventully it picked up...and then some. It turned into a total scorcher out today. Everyone took refuge under what shades they could, but that didn't stop FLTA's finest DJs and FLTA's finest chef from doing what they do best.
Not to mention, the speaker overheated a couple of times.
Yogi bear started with a very good opening set, followed by Solace and John Paullino with a tag team duo. Solace played Ronald van Gelderen - This Way (Rank 1 remix) for me, which I greatly appreciated. A tech problem or two but otherwise a good set.
DJ Denzo, a FLTA newcomer, delivered a pretty good set as well. Don't remember IDs.
DJ Douglas, using a new laptop DJ system, played a slightly mellower, but still good trancey set, then he brought out the nasty stuff near the end, but it wasn't enough for me. MORE nastyiness Doug! Make a new promo! His set was ID ID ID, Above and Beyond - Can't Sleep, ID ID ID ID. Keep up the great work man.
DJ Relik came on and IMMEDIATELY started with nastiness. Don't recall IDs.
Groove Eric came on last and also continued the banging nasty hard stuff, but we had to leave early.
All in all a great day.
Many thanks to Manny for organizing the event, thanks to Leo (happyface) for being such a damn good cook and a nice guy, and to everyone who pitched in stuff for the day's outing. Pics to come in a bit.
DarkAngel of TRANCE.
