Haha.

I've been with CNET/GameSpot for over six years now. I moved from Orlando, FL to San Francisco and landed there. Was 20 at the time.

I am the senior producer of the video production team for the GameSpot (and CNET Networks Entertainment). I'll be moving to LA next year, hopefully with the same company, and I may move largely over to TV.com, mp3.com, and any other site our group may run where being in SoCal is very important. But I don't know yet. I'll have a better idea come next year.

Want to know something weird and shows how small this world is? Back in like 1998, Drew (aka Rukes on TA) and I worked on the same videogame fan site. Yes, it's true. It's true. I hadn't talked to him or really know where he was between like 1999 and like early 2005 maybe? When he posted pics on the Spundae board early last year I was like, WTF! That's Drew! Last time we had spoken to each other I was in Florida and he was in New York. Now we are both on in Cali seperated by I-5, lol, and met again because of EDM.

BTW, holy crap what a horrible pic of me in there. I don't even remember when I took it, so it was probably like 2001.

I don't think it's BS. E3 has become too big. ANd what's funny, 90% of the important stuff is announced or completely revealed before the show even starts these days because of press conferences. It's getting to a point where there's no need for such a huge showcase when costs some company $10-$25 million in some years.

Latest (very uncomfirmed) reports have it possibly being mainly held within two huge hotels. That wouldn't be so bad for press. But if companies decied to do things completely on their own (ie. press conferences) spread out every, it's going to suck. At least on my part. During the week of E3, my hardest days are actually Sunday - Tuesday when worrying about the press conferences. The show (Wed-Fri) is stressful, without a doubt, but it's usualyl just technical stuff I have to worry about at that point while I make sure our broadcasting is up and running and going well as the demos roll along.

Note: This post is of my own and not associated with GameSpot.

Can't beat the late 90's in atlanta and LA...go to E3 with a suitcase full of clothes, come back with 2-3 more suitcases filled with free toys, shirts and more.
