Financial Aid Question (College)

Here's the deal. I don't have money, and niether does my parents, so I'm forced to look into financial aid like most people.

Any of you bright ones know of a good place to find scholarships, or would you recommend one that an average 2.7 student would be able to get? I'm just the average high school graduate just trying to go to college, and would need some help getting there!!

Rule of thumb: state schools = cheaper than private schools.

Just fill out a F.A.F.S.A form online. Make sure you have your parents income tax forms handy such as their W2's and 1040's. If you have a job then you need your tax forms ready as well. Proceed to fill out what's on the FAFSA form like how much they make and so forth. Then, make sure you put down all the schools that you expect to receive funding for, even the schools you know you might not get into. After that submit it electronically and within a couple weeks you should know if you are qualified to receive money or not.

Here's the site: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

P.S. - You were supposed to do that in January. That doesn't mean you will not get any funding from the government. It just means that once you start classes you're going to have to find a way to pay for classes until that tuition check arrives, that is, if you do qualify.

I filled out a fafsa back in may, and was told i'm not eligable, even though the tax forms showed, I'm a just out of high school grad with a low income job, and whose mom is over 100k in debt and whose dad is fighting in iraq until 2007..

I know i should have started earlier, but nobody ever told me how to find these scholarships, we're just told we need them. It's not until now I realize how much I need them, but I've of all these unclaimed scholarships, so I'm shopping around...

usually (as said before) u have to fill out the free application for student aid at fafsa.ed.gov sometime between jan-march to get "Quality" aid. Its setup on a first-come first-serve basis and people that do it earlier have a better chance to receive more aid than if u did it later in the year.

When I filled out the applications in the past (late as hell), they would say that I dont get any aid, etc, etc...... then when i finally did it early, I couldnt believe the amount of aid they were giving me.... FWIW

Or you can just whore yourself out downtown. There are a lot of old horny gay men out there you know...some of them have big wallets too.

PS: Apply for bursaries as well. They ALWAYS give you atleast a few bucks. These you can find at the college you are applying for.

Dresden used a knife. When that knife turned out to be too blunt, Dresden used a sharper knife to slice the penis off. Gabriel apparently tried to eat his share of his own penis..but could not because it was too..."chewy". Dresden then sautéed the penis in a pan with salt, pepper, and garlic.

Just because FAFSA says you don't qualify doesn't mean you can't get any. It just means the government isn't going to give you money--individual colleges may, though (and in your situation, I wouldn't doubt that they would). Talk to the financial aid offices of the specific colleges you've applied to (I'm assuming you've applied by now) before you actually accept anything, so you know what you're getting into. You shouldn't have too much of a problem.
