Honesty also = root of all evil...

We are a demanding audience full of ACTIVE listeners. Other sites don't go far enough IMO. Why should a DJ be an Idol and beyond any and all criticism? Seriously. Personally, I don't HATE, I just have opinions and not all of them are positive. I give the same critiques to anyone, big DJ or not.

It's a public forum and opinions are like assholes. if "big name" producers can't deal with it - tough. It's probably the most honest feedback they'll ever get, because let's face it, how many times a night do you think guys like Armin or Tiesto et al. have their proverbial dicks sucked by fanboys who think they can do no wrong?

I'm guessing that the producers who all have problems with TA are the ones who can't take a lick of criticism, regardless of how poorly or well constructed it is.

To answer your question, no.

TA does not take it too far as a whole, however, I agree that there are members' whose conduct is not exactly appropriate, nor there comments warranted.

Same goes for any board of this size.

I bet I can make an educated guess as to a few of the names who cry about what is said on here.

Of course not. Sometimes it doesn't go far enough. When the shit hits the proverbial fan so to speak - particularly when involiving a 'big name' - and the thread gets closed, I cringe HARD.

Unless it's spam, a thread should NEVER be closed.

Would you prefer it be more of a fanboy forum like a lot of DJs have? I've heard on both Danny Tenaglia and Jonathan Peters' boards, you get banned and posts deleted for being critical. They have their sanctums to run to if they can't take the heat or they can try to prove the critical ones wrong (without coming across like a defensive dick like some have).

So what you're really saying is that even if Dave Dresden was burning alive, you wouldn't even bother spitting on him.

What i'm saying is that if someone can't take a few words on the internet, then they know where the off button is - and so can fuck off accordingly. It shouldn't be left to the disgression of another individual to have decided for us what we can and cannot handle.
