i was wondering what other TT's are good out there besides the Technics models.... yes yes i know.. everyone tells me TECHNICS TECHNICS TECHNICS... but what else is good out there at a affordable price?
I was looking for the same answer for days
What I need is also, a TT besides Technics, which is around 200 $. I think all the cheaper ones suck
Some1 recommended me Gemini PT-2000 series, but I have no idea about them...
btw. STR8-100 and Denon DPDJ-101 are around 300 $...

STR 8-60s are cheap, although it has straight tonearm and is meant more for scratch use. But if you're just looking for cheap equipment then I think it will serve its purpose well.

Make that more like $500 to $550 for the Stanton STR8-100 and u are nearer the mark . . .
Hello
You should try the Citronic PD-2, or Numark TT-1650, both did good in i-dj's review!! I'm not an expert on TT's but you should read some of the dj mags.!! Like International DJ, they review new 12"'s, cd's and tech equipment(TT's, mixers, amps, cd decks etc...) in every issue

Personally, I don't think that there is anything in the 'affordable' category that is really up to scratch. Best idea is to wait a bit, best decks around IMO are the Technichs SL series, Vestax PDX-2000 and the Stanton STR8-100 ones that Neo pointed out before. There are some relatively inexpensive high-end Numark DD turnatables which are good, but I prefer my Techs any day
