I have only been aware of him being scheduled to play here twice since the beginning of 2005, and both times were around WMC. The first, in 2005, he refused to play at Avalon because of some issues with how the night was supposed to be run.
I wouldn't expect him until next year again.

We politely asked Sven to play after JJ starting at 230am but he refused and no deal could be worked out. Sven's a bit of a perfectionist and b/c of this I understood why he didn't feel comfortable playing after JJ. Techno DJs are inherently stubborn about who plays before them to set the tone for the night. He's really a fantastic guy, even if he's a bit stubborn in his ways. |
I dunno exactly what Judge Jules is playing these days but wouldn't a techno dj close a night?

The scientist cannot capture the whole cosmos in thought. In his mind he makes a kind of microcosm, which we see as an analogue of the cosmos. In this way we try to get a feeling for the whole. The artist, I suppose, gets a feeling for the whole some other way.”
