laptop vs pc?

got a studio setup with hardware AND software with a MOTU Traveler, MOTU av timepiece...

traveler is firewire, and i have an external firewire drive also.

that said!

DESKTOP VS LAPTOP for *serious* music production! pros vs cons? other than the "more power on a desktop," "more versatility on a laptop," "more exapandability on a desktop," etc.

anyone with a laptop or desktop that has found limitations? at the moment, i'm opting for a laptop for music only (probably a mac), but am having trouble deciding between a g5/custom pc or a mac laptop.

With a desktop underneath your table you can also use it as a warm cozy foot rest......you said anything at all right?
