Two pairs of monitors connect to EMU 1820m?

I currently have a set of 'alesis m1 active mk2' speakers and find that they are a bit weak for my taste, especially with its lack of bass...

I've been thinking of getting a second pair of monitors to expand my live sound during production.

But is it possible to connect two pairs of monitors through my docking station?

If you see in the picture below there is only a single input for monitors, would a 'Y splitter' be ok to use in this situation?

it depends how you want to use it. but with cubase it would be possible to use the outputs 1-3 for monitors too..

I don't think it's wise to use more than one pair of monitors at the same time unless you're mixing in surround and the monitors are the same kind. Get a sub woofer instead to use with your M1s.

I myself was thinking i've had these monitors for 3 years, and i've gotten pretty hella used to them... volume works fine for me and I guess if I get another pair it may just confuse me... but I also think it may give me a clean sound and help me better adjust my levels, I was thinking of picking up a set of KRK rocket series to go along with my alesis...

I have looked for subs but can not find anything decent at a reasonable price?

Any suggestions to go with a pair of alesis would be much appreciated

the pair of jacks labeled "monitor" are just a duplicate of the master outs (1L/1R). in Cubase, you can set up a 2nd stereo buss with your 2nd pair of monitors on outputs 2L/2R. getting a Mackie Big Knob will make your setup look cooler though.
