Jake Chec, aka JC lives among microphones, turntables and blossoming ideas as a producer and sound designer. It is his talent and skills that drive the promotional machine behind CHIN and Club246. Hes the Vice President of The Club246 Radio Network a company dedicated to electronica and all of its sub genres, broadcasting on 100.7fm Toronto and 97.9fm in Ottawa, as well as on-line through club246.com. JC hails from Wrocwal, Poland and now resides in Toronto, he comes from a family of musicians and started at the tender age of six playing drums and piano (keyboard theory). With an honors degree in Radio Broadcasting from Canadaore College, JC now has played professionally for six years and has lead JC to raise the bar in the art of electronic music, particularly in the genre of house. Hes heavily involved in programming, and production and is host and producer of one of the most popular and widely listened to programs on the Club246 Radio Network, The Executive Mix, which is syndicated in both the United States and here in Canada. Jcs proficiency on the decks and his smooth and sultry voice coupled with his mix of Tribal, Progressive, and Funky, big room house beats has seen him play at many of Torontos popular nightclubs, opening and closing for the best of Canadian talent such as, DJ Sneak, Deko-ze, Kenny Glasgow, Manzone and Strong, Myka, and Addy, to name just a few. The word about Jcs intimate knowledge of house music production, effects and mixing techniques has seen him travel all over Ontario and of course over seas to his homeland, Poland. On his slipmat he has some of his own productions, Black Magic, a forthcoming digital release on Ap2.ca and other original tracks, Fearless J and Humidex along with some remixes for the ever popular label, Existence Records.
