This really should be common knowledge... the PS2 is not a powerful console by any means.

Yes, I agree that clock speeds are not the be-all and end-all of game performance, but as documented in that article and many others like it, graphics on the PS2 are dramatically inferior to those on the gamecube. If a game is ported to gamecube and PS2, you should obviously get the gamecube version, because in the end, it's going to look better, have better frame rates, and play smoother.
