Virus KB vs Virus Ti!

hey guys,

i have a virus kb that's taking up too much damn space! but i've had it for years and have lots of badass presets on there, customized sounds. i like having an actual keyboard there when i switch synths since it's like a change of mindset also. but hey, i need my goddamn space too!

so i'm thinking of selling the kb and possibly getting a Ti.

is it worth the change?
what would i gain by doing the switch?
what would i lose by doing it...?
appreciate any of your input/advice (especially from owners of these products)

cheers,
dji

I had the virus classic and I sold it for the Ti. the TI is an all around great synth. Sounds clean, Virus control is less buggy now.. I had the polar before and that was huge, I exchanged it in for the desktop version. great space savor. I guess I would point out the obvious, you gain about 60 polyphony which can comes in handy in multimode. hypersaw. the price is a drag, but eh money comes and it goes, music lasts longer

Re: Virus KB vs Virus Ti!

Note: I own a C, but am going to get a TI shortly, my thoughts:

I'm hoping so...

Most importantly for me, individual effects on each part, rather then global on the C version.

Wavetable synthesis
Hypersaw

Familiarity
OS Issues, the C is very stable for me on 6.5, heard about problems on TI

Nah, it runs smooth since 1.1.1. Don't forget to save your patches to midi, you can import them in the virus control afterwords.

I had a B, then a C and now a new TI.

TI is a great synth - I just wish I was an imsomniac. I've been using it heaps this week and I've been going into work every day this week looking like I've been out clubbing all night.
