Yeah, try distorting it. Distortion makes a sine to become more and more like a square, that's why the squares sounds more like gabber kicks. But if using squares you won't get that tail. So, sines with distortion should do it.
I don't know really, I never tried gabber kicks, but I now the sound and that's just what it sounds like. Also, try a different dist-VST. Most dists are not made for kicks, so try different ones ands see which sounds best.
