But aren't camera phones pretty much the standard nowdays?

Not sure how things are in the States right now but I know in France they are the standard for even the cheapest models.

My dad bought a new cell phone 2 months ago for about 50 bucks and it does video and digicam ( and that was the actual price of the thing not some special new subscription/renewal or subscriber points deal with his cellular operator ).
