On Wednesday 16th August, the poll is officially open to clubbers all over the world who would like to vote for their favourite DJ. This year’s the poll is slightly different. For the first time ever, DJ Mag will be giving out more gongs than ever before. As well as the all-important No. 1 DJ in the World accolade, there will be awards for the following categories:
BEST HOUSE DJ – BEST TECHNO DJ – BEST HARD DANCE DJ – BEST DRUM & BASS DJBEST BREAKBEAT DJ – BEST ELECTRO DJ – HIGHEST CLIMBER –HIGHEST NEW ENTRY
I think it's a start. Looks like some people must have voiced their opinion on the contest not really being fair since DJs of all styles of music were lumped into one category.

I was actually surprised at that too. I guess they're trying to say that the No. 1 DJ spot is for "Trance" DJs, but then they should call it just that.
