hey chaps.

it has been a while since i posted a track of my own instead of a rmx of something else. this is a piece im working on. quite a sad vibe to it. minimal but quite full. i will add a few more efx and percs once i know what i want. plus a nice deep driving bass.

A really nice atmosphere, sad and dreamy! But I don´t like the synth in the foreground, it´s just annoying imo. Maybe it would sounds better if you lower it. Otherwise, very nice! Keep it up!

it is reminding me of one of my favourite tracks ever 'orbital velocity - the last voyage'

Hey Rich,

Creating a minimalistic track does not necessarily mean that you use a minimal amount of sounds or melodic changes . Your track sounds like it is not close to being finished and that is why minimalistic in this case has a negative ring to it. As you know me I am always trying to be constructive so bare with me here

I like the ideas in your track and the melody is quite nice but beatwise this track really does not really get going anywhere. Furthermore you just keep going with one and the same synth and melody most of the time.

Sorry to say it mate, this track still sounds like a rough skeleton of a track which needs work to get finished. I'd love to hear you add more percussion steady on through the track especially add the 1.25 mark. The hihat you use would do nicely there alongside a real big open hihat. Then at the 1.55 mark add a shaker and a clap, those would give the track extra energy already. Then from that point on start bringing in more sounds such as a fuller higher pad which you can gently bring in with a cutoff towards a gentle but bigger break where u introduce the "leadsound". Just make the track fuller. Minimalstic does not necessarily have to mean a minimal amount of sounds

However I do like the vibe and melody you got going. It is an easy to listen to track now you need to get something more going on in it mate.

I do like the break.
That gliding arp is annoying. I really hate it.
It's getting reapetetive pretty quickly.
It's not close to done.
I like the main melody though. It sounds awsome.

6/10 for now.

its always annoying cos whenever i find myself happy with a track it sounds unfinished to others. i like the idea of a shuffleing kick i will go back to the project and play around - maybe make a more full version

I agree the track could sound fuller with some open hats and more percs but i really like all the melodies & pads in this - its a very very chilled out song - much more than ur other productions - you always seems to come with unique quality melodies..it just need a little bit more energy in it..nice work

Sorry man, just didn't enjoy it, there is no excitement in this track, and it's too borring to be chill either, gotta pack more into your tracks so slow and minimalistic.

It's not exciting to a level that the last quarter of the song feels as if it is an intro into a real trance track.
