[Trance] Blank & Jones - Watching The Waves [Klangzentrum's Waves@Sunset Remix] *ud*

hey guys!

i'm back with some new stuff...again a remix, yes i know..
this time my victim was blank & jones - watching the waves...
first i wanted it to be an ambient remix, which can you hear in the intro, but later on, it turned quite trancy...

hope you'll enjoy listening...

Blank & Jones - Watching The Waves [Klangzentrum's Waves@Sunset Remix]

feedback is as always truly appreciated...

Hello there....

what can I say...amazing...

This track I liked very much(original)....and there you creted a rmx...fantastic ...

I dont like :

hat...to primitive...for this track need like shaker or something
clap(after clap crunchy end)
there are places...where kick with snareroll is overflowing

remix 9.5/10
quality 9.5/10

had pleasure

good intro.
kick is good, bassline is good too, though fatter would be better.
percs are good, and the bongo.
breakdown doesn't have much atmosphere but its still good.
synths are good, but maybe u could do with another pad coming in after the breakdown, to give it more atmosphere.
that snare build-up is a bit overloaded.
there is a nice atmosphere after the second breakdown.

overall 8/10, a nice trance track and barely any faults.

btw, what happened to your Lolo - Why remix? i wanted to hear it but its 404'ed

in short: weak remix

Review:

Intro is pretty nice but its just a wave sample, nothing to hard. Kick is weak and ploppy, lacks any power. Snareroll is clipping and sometimes bass and kick are clipping as well. Bassline is extremely simple and so is the sample. All the other sounds are not really coherent. They sound thin and flat and are not inspiring. The main synth on its own is pretty nice but it doesnt fit at all wiht the rest of the track. I actually dont know the original, or i cant remember it but i dont like this remix. Its simplistic and flat for some reason.

Points that need improvement:
- bass/kick
- sounds
- mixdown, watch the volumes, stuff is clipping and give ur sounds more fullness and give the mix down a more coherent feeling.

Stijn

man dis is brilliant, maybe best thing i've heard from you get. dont know the original but dis i enjoyed totally.

now you need to stop remixing and writing some original tracks and getting your name outthere cause you've got some skills.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee I am in da beach! :P, excellent chill out intro, all is in the right place imo, your kick sounds really good, I would add another drum loop in the background besides the congas to give more fullness to the track but, that's just my opinion .
I dont know the original so I dont know what else I could comment, so far I liked what I have heard , good work man .
Kopi =o.

Sweet! good original, good remix.

altough there are some clipping issues, especially the snarerolls and sometimes the kick as mentioned.
the pad/saw synth sounds is way to loud and perhaps to much decay or on it..

the beat is kinda weak troughout the track, not that you cant hear it or feel it, but it needs more elements, more percs like mentioned.

otherwise its a quality track, very well produced and layered, just fix some volume/clipping issues and your set!

take care,

thx for your honest feedback!

i'll have a look at the mentioned points, when i'm reworking the track!

@ stino: sounds very negative, but i'm thankful for your feedback! helps to improve! though its a matter of taste sometimes... hope you'll like the track more when the rework-work is done...

anybody else has wishes, suggestions or comments on the track?
