I read that the torque on these are like twice as much as the techinics (about 3.7 whatevas, n techinics are 1.5 whatevas) n that they are soon to be the prefered choice for DJ's. IS this true ? Has anybody used em ?

Well.
I havent used them
but from my experience with Numark I wouldnt go and invest a great deal of money on a turntable by them.
Dont let the great look fool you...
Best thing to get is a Vestax or Technics
Its worth it...
