Talking [VGM Trance] Ninja Gaiden - The Masked Devil (OrgaNik Plays It Safe Mix)

So, here's the track I made for the VGM mix project (in the sticky up there, in case you're blind). It's pretty straightforward no-nonsense upbeat trance track. Might not be original sounding in any shape or form but who cares?

Ninja Gaiden - The Masked Devil (OrgaNik Plays It Safe Mix) (7:32, 192kbps, 10.3MB, 138BPM)

This whole thing took about 2-3 hours to do.

Enjoy.

Wow, never expected this kind of track from you, Nik
I must say I quite like what you've done, especially the breaks section. Melody works very well too.

Nice job

Well, to be honest, me neither. I just slapped the midi in Reason and it just took a life of its own.

I originally intended doing a breaks track for the project... maybe I still will...

3 Subtractors.

Highly unlikely I'll be doing anything similar again.

Wow this is very uplifting for you lol
Was the melody that trancy?
Here comes the break.

Nice stuff.
I like this a lot.
It's a tad repeatetive though but not to much.

10/10 since there is nothing to complain about.
Omer.

Heh, yeah, the melody is taken directly from the original (although I needed to tinker with the timing a bit).

Hey Mr Mistery,

YOu have quite a nice uplifting track going here. I am not really fond of the build up synth you use. It is really dry and does not really have a nice sophisticated sound.

Other than than there is plenty of energy in the build up. The bass could be turned up a notch of two so it will glue with the percussion a lot better and it will become more of a melodic element in the track.

The break is quite nice with the breakbeat there. However you just keep going with the exact same synth and since the melody does not really change a lot it becomes rather boring. I know this is a remix so u can't do a lot about the melody but a nice second own melodic riff on top of the main synth could have done wonders.

Cheers!

I was thinking maybe moving the melody up into a different key alone with the bassline would sound pretty sweet too. This is a great track nonetheless Mr. Myster great work here.
