If your going to play online, you want a DSL modem at least. Although that processor isn't bad, your going to want something with a higher front-side bus (like 800 mhz), 533 mhz isn't really good for graphic intense games like Doom 3, Quake 4 or Half Life 2. That video card is fine, but you may want a 256 mb card, and possibly something like a GeForce 7600 or 7800 so you can get better frame-rates. You may even want a 19'' monitor, because you can get higher resolutions that way. I don't really play games much anymore, but I still know about them.

More hard drive space maybe, but most games run really smooth on 1GB. That's pretty standard nowadays...I have 1GB of Dual Channel 400 mhz RAM and games run fine...although I hardly play games anymore..like I said.

Oh and sound card, get a Creative Audigy 2, it's a few years old but great for games. They have a new one out, forget the name, but it's more geared towards improving music than for gaming.
