I know some guys who have a kickass studio, and make crappy tracks. And then you have some guys like Maor Levi who made some great stuff for several years while he had a crappy setup like yours
I have to agree though - it must be hard to make music with only one speaker

Rich, that setup isn't THAT bad. You should clean up some of that mess though lol. If you think of your desk more like your studio, then you might treat it totally differently and keep it all nice and tidy. Who really cares though...just like static said, it doesn't really matter about the studio setup, it's about what you produce from it. Good luck though, your tracks sound pretty good anyways. Only thing I want to comment on about your tracks though is you could use some upbeatness in your percussions. Don't ask why I'm posting this long ass response. I'm just blazing over here

i cant put a picture of mine up as there is a synth on one side of the room, three speakers beside my computer at the other corner, another speaker beside my turntables at the other side of the room and one turntable cannot be used due to the cdj occupying a seat on top of it.
so its not that bad rich. we all have these situations. im in the process of trying to rectify my problem though.
lol... looking at that photo i can imagine a heroin junkie sat there administering himself...
the beer bottle is for good luck!
