Party Hat How's this piano part sound?

Got a new trance/house piece I'm doing. I hope to have it finished by the end of Labor Day. Anyway, being the pianist that I am, I have come to the point in the track wehre I introduce it into the mix. So, here's my idea that I think I'm going to use. How does it sound?

Piano Part (F# Minor)

How's the progression sounding? Up until now, the track does a whole lot of i chord in F#min. The occasional Emaj (bVII) on a rhodes, as I'm borrowing the flaming june keyboard instrumentation of rhodes + piano.

Really liked it.

Only thing is that something "annoys" my ears a little bit around 0:13. Did you use any chromatic notes? It might just be me or maybe it's the timing. (Unfortunately I've gotten used to super-quantised piano-parts because I don't play good enough myself).

Regards

Yeah, it's not quantized in the least, I like my pianos to sound organic and natural (Unless specifically trying not to, which is also a sweet effect). I don't think you would call it a chromatic note simply because it's part of the key, but it may be a little much perhaps? I have that double-melody thing going on (both hands are playing the melody, with harmonies between, and bass on my left pinky), so if those lines fall out of sync at all it could sound wonky. Maybe even sound a little higgly piggly. Hehe. I dropped out a lot of the mid-range though because it'll be in the track I'm working on right now.

Use 50% quantize. It will still sound natural but alot tighter.

the musicianship is tight(nice composition) but in all honesty it sounds a little to happy for my taste. I think slamming this into a trance track might put you right into that oldschool sounding fairytale type trance..I can't stand that stuff...thats just me anyway. Its just to happy...try making it darker dude.

All in all that was some tight playing on your part.
