Hip Hop Producer Takes a shot at Trance. Did I succeed? I think so :D

Hi guys, I'm new to the whole trance/techno/dance music. All I have in my iTunes relating to that is Daft Punk and Darude lmao but I'm starting to get into the whole thing. In any case, tell me what you think!

hi-fi URL: http://www.soundclick.com/util/getp...id=5283313&q=hi
128 Kbps, will open a pop up window containing the song.

I'll be back tonight to give feedback to other folks, despite my minimal trance knowledge :P I'll see what I can give you.

You put the wrong link for us.

That was probably a smart move because the actual song is horrible.

It sounds like you just took a bunch of presets and held down one note.

Percs sound like default FL things, or did you record yourself shitting and sample those?

Simply put, you failed.

Ok Sean Blake, you win. I DID remember your name today, and consequently, proceeded to laugh. So, I had to post again. Keep trying Mr. Blake, keep trying.

Your other stuff isn't half bad but you've missed the mark with the trance.

I wouldn't call it trance anyway. Electronica maybe but you really need to listen to more underground trance and get away from the commercial influences.

I agree, my second post was a little underhanded, i apologize. However, yes, Fledz is exactly right. The music sounds more like something you would hear in a video game. Sorry, but hes right, listen to more trance music first.

Trance != oonce oonce oonce oonce + supersaw.

Your kick drum choice is pretty horrible, I've gotta say. Maybe it works in Hip Hop, but this is a completely different kind of music. You should also spend some time in the song actually developing the musical themes, and not just switching them and playing them for a few measures. Lastly, the supersaw has been dead for six years. You're not awesome enough to bring it back. Maybe if you become fabulously famous at this, you can try to do it again.

Meh Not that great.

Though if you gave me the midi for Epic Strings. I could probably make a bad ass remix of that.
