Eh, it needed to happen. They were getting far too used to just ekeing by but not really accomplishing anything. 14 years is long enough to satiate me, but I think they need a few years at the bottom for rebuilding before I'd like to see them back in the playoffs. They've got pitching, both bullpen and starting to figure out and provide depth to.

As I've told every one of my New York friends, the best part about the Mets going to the playoffs is watching the Braves miss it.
