Agoria - CODE 1026 (Different Recordings)
On a role here, just commenting on one more record i was really impressed with. The return of Agoria to the studio does bring a new feel to techno. Now, this record is a must for all djs IMO. It has that certain Garnier feel to how the beats go togheter, nevertheless the "1026" stands out for its Big Band approach to dance music IMO.
Retailers comments:
AGORIA - Code 1026
Since the release of "Les Beaux Jours", Agoria spent most of his time working in his home studio and traveling around the globe spreading his DJ skills. Today we can say "The Green Armchair", Agoria?s second album, is almost completed and will hit the stores October 16th. "Code 1026" is the first glimpse of this new album and it's already played by people such as Tiga, Laurent Garnier, James Holden, Carl Craig & Adam Freeland to name a few. The B-Side "Kick The Peace" is the mellow track everyone is looking for and would be perfect with a cocktail beside the pool.

"I think the scientific and the artistic spirit have something in common. The scientist wants not only to learn the facts, but to understand how they cohere, fit together and make a whole. He even uses criteria such as beauty and symmetry to help decide which theory he wants.
The scientist cannot capture the whole cosmos in thought. In his mind he makes a kind of microcosm, which we see as an analogue of the cosmos. In this way we try to get a feeling for the whole. The artist, I suppose, gets a feeling for the whole some other way.”
