Back from Turkeeeey..:D

Hiya guys..

Back again from Turkey..been vacationing there for a week..as u could see from the previous post here..lool

Well..what can I say..it was pretty good..mm..guess I'll post my "review" for the trip here..lol

The first 4 days of the trip, we decided they would be for taking trips and leave the shopping for the last 3 days..

First off..we had a cruise in the Bosphorous river, seperating the European and Asian sides of Istanbul..the scenery there was amazing..

Second day we went to the Blue Mosque,Topkapi Palace and Hagga Sophia..pretty awesome as well..though I had to reformat my digital cam memory card cuz it was corruoted and I lost all pics for that day!!

Third day..prolly the best day of the whole trip..we went to Bursa city..up the mountains using pods "Telefrik"...1.6km in height..which was pretty awesome although the telefrik had like 30 ppl inside!!
The view was pretty awesome though..we also BBQed our own meals..which was a plus..lol

I went to a V-Sag and Tarkan gig in Istiklal street on Monday..a club called 0212..was pretty good..but the club was WAAAAY too small..!!

The most annoying thing about the ppl there though is their lack of spoken English...its unbelievable sometimes..they sometimes don't even know english numbers..given that English IS a universal language!!

I had one hell of a time trying to find out when a store closes...integrating wrong turkish words with english..lol..and I came out with nuthin'..lol

Anyways..I'm prolly borin' u till death..just wanted to say hello again..and if anyone wants to know anything recent about Turkey..feel free to ask..

Cheers

Turkey is a hostile place nowadays, bombings everywhere, especially Antalya and other touristic regions.

You say english is a universal language. They speak english on mars?

It's your job as a tourist to adapt to the locals and not them to you

I did adapt..lol..given I got Turkish origins as well..my grandfathers are Turkish

What I meant was...compared to other places..the level of education of Turks seems below par..I never saw a country with ppl who didn't understand English this much!!

Anyways..it was fun though..
