How dare a "International DJ, Producer" take play time away from one of south Florida’s long time DJ.
The shame!
I would of have had Alien man escorted out as soon as I saw him huffin’ and puffin’
Someone told me that Mr. Alien Signal looked like he was having a titty-ditty fit in the DJ booth. - WOW -
I hope he has the excuse to say he was on some medication that caused him to act in that manner, and be such a baby. But I am not surprised.
. I brought up this guy’s integrity up on cooljunkie a while back, everyone of course jumped on the band wagon and started to stay I was hating on a popular radio station and DJ. I knew it was a matter of time before he tripped on his own shit. Oh well, I hope that Rank1 and some type of understandability in this matter and doesn’t hold some negative thought about Miami because of Mauricio. I don’t care for how many years or if you have the balls to start you a pirate radio station, if you suck; you suck and respect those that do a better job and not over step your boundaries especially an international DJ that has a great rep for this work.
Sad part is that people will keep booking Mauricio because he might do it for free, or give some ad space on his broadcasting but like always its just people using him to make profit.
And Metropolis, I don’t even wana get into that topic.
Sucks that things didn’t turn out will for you guys, I feel bad for you and Seasons’ because you guys were pushing that party hard. But this goes to show why Miami has such a weak scene. Between corrupt club owners, and big headed DJ’s, who would have fun going out with nothing is certain.
But if it makes you feel any better, yesterday was not a good day for anyone. Shit was going wrong all over South Florida, Bad Rain and Lightning strom, your event moved, most of the clubs at the hardrock had no power, people being assholes, traffic and if was fu*ckin muggy out!

peace.
oh,,, the above, IMO

yesterday was somewhat of a pain in the ass and a step in the right direction towards the trance scene strengthening here in Miami. When Tranceman called me up and told me about what had happened, I could say I wasn't that surprised. I had some sort of presentment all along that somehow, this event wouldn't take place. But it did. Thankfully, it did. The ta turnout was great. Great meeting MiamilawDj and the other person was "ledge" something(sorry I forgot!!) The music was for the most part top notch. Ofcourse, Piet only got like 45 minutes, but it was sooo worth it. Trance ownzzzz j0000!!!!! Thank you for playing for us dude. Seasunz, I had thanked you already, but I think I need to do it again. It seems as if you really have a great interest in the edm scene here, and you care about it. DA, i also thank you again bro. As usual, great seeing the usual suspects in the house. Till next time!!!
btw, do we have an explanation as to why Metro closed??? I know they were remodeling or something, but was it really that?

Re: OFFICIAL Rank 1 @ Pawn Shop 9-15-06 Review + Pics
[QUOTE]Originally posted by DarkAngel
[color=red][b]For quite some time I have dreamed of seeing my favorite DJ/Producer Rank 1 in Miami. Last month I talked to Seasunz about possibly setting up a gig and in about a weeks time, with help from Seasunz and Tim of David Lewis Productions and some help from Michelle (sweetcandy girl) from LATA, we had a party set up.
Rank 1, Groove Eric and Seasunz @ Metropolis.
What happened last night wasn't exactly what we had in mind.
Due to circumstances way, WAY beyond me and Seasunz' control (namely Metropolis shutting down), we had to try and find another venue for this highly anticipated party, or end up cancelling it. Seasunz and I spent a great deal on the phone yesterday, answering calls and texts. At virtually the last minute, Seasunz had acquired the Pawn Shop in downtown Miami as our last resort. We accepted it, despite the fact Piet of Rank 1 would only be given two hours to play, and Groove Eric and Seasunz wouldn't be able to play at all.
Even that didn't go through.
Some dipshit child of a man kept pestering Piet during his set in the dj booth, and so we only got a one hour set, but it still owned all of the place and us FLTAs with tunes delivered such as
Life Less Ordinary
Airwave
And a tune which Mel went nuts to. Give us an ID, sis?
To that guy who kept on pestering Piet and had him leave the DJ booth without completing his two hour set, may I offer you a sincere
FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE.
To Piet of Rank 1: Thank you for giving my FLTAs a small taste of what I've experienced seeing you in L.A. twice and Toronto once. Everyone loved your set...I was asking because I wanted everyone to be satisfied. It was an extreme pleasure seeing you and chatting with you again.
To Benno: A very sincere pleasure meeting and chatting with you for the first time ever. I hope to meet you again.
To Seasunz: I want to offer you my thanks for helping me get this gig set up. Hopefully next time there will be less shadyness on certain people's part. You're a great guy, man.
And to Mel, Damon, Groove Eric, Ivan (DJ Relik), Amber (trancebrat), Terry Bones, Carlos (nfkted), Spacemasters, Felipe (LiquidX), Mike (Mr. Jangles), Doug and Maribel (DJ Douglas, trancemonkey10), PaulvanDykism, Steve (Freek096), Rodrigo (elecmfreak), Manny (MJM420), Vic (DigitalPhoenix), Leon (tranceman23), Nelson (DRILLYOU), yogi bear, John Paullino....to everyone, a very sincere THANK YOU for coming out to support this party, despite the massive, unwelcome last-minute changes. I'll never forget it. Pics to come in the next post.
well DA sums it up perfectly with his words and pics, nice job man.
would like to thank seasunz again for his hard work, keep it up brotha, we all appreciate it ALOT.
til the next time
