television show music

i think i liked the x-files and the twilight zone (the original series), of course. the eery sounds, i recall, were spot on.

i really hate the music from 'desperate housewives' (well i've only seen the show for about 5 minutes once cos it sucks ass) i saw 'fashion house' briefly and it had similar music so i quickly changed the channel. that little piano melody used to create a ambiance of comedy just drives me up the wall. aargh!

you?

Yeah it's quite annoying, but i think it fits the mood of a show like desperate housewives, however i cerainly wouldn't listen to that stuff outside the show.

CSI: Miami has some excellent music selection! I would mind knowing the names of a few tracks from the season opener in brazil. Great choice and blending of sounds...

The music on 24 is great, even the theme caught me from the start.

Sean Callery ftw!

I like Armin van Buuren's remix of the 24 theme and Ferry Corsten's remix of the Prison Break theme.

piano?!

heh.

You mean the pizzicato (plucked) violin strings, aka the official soundtrack of all high-sprung mincing, prancing and shenanigans, first made famous in modern pop lore with David Rose's 'Holiday for Strings' concerto, which became so famous that its since become the ubiquetous sound heard in every old-timey documentary about 50s culture and living.

I hate them too.

The music from the X-Files was fucking awesome - Mark Snow is a wicked composer, and creates a great atmosphere in the show. I recently completed my collection of all nine series

I think Nip/Tuck has one of the awesomest soundtracks for a TV show, I think just the Original of So Damn Beautiful worth the cd. also the 24 sound guys create a good atmosphere consistent thru all the eps/seasons
