Who has the best Sub in Montreal?

I don't mean clubs...anywhere in the city. I heard Concordia has the best music facility in the world.

I want to know who's system goes the lowest.

You can't go lower than 1hz anyways, and besides barely anyone can hear below 20.

$15 million away from completion, its just an empty building right now, still needs all the studio equipment.

I got the chance to go inside, the recording space is INCREDIBLE. Completely isolated, its going to be world-class. They already have big studio engineers from LA waiting and its rumored Disney is also waiting in line.

But yes, when its done it will be one of the best facilities in the world. Concordia doesnt compare.

Thanks for the info about Mcgill, cool :-)

I'm not really interested in the frequencies we can hear, i'm interested in the one's we can't. So, my original question is important.

We can't seem to record frequencies below 20hz and above 20khz, but, that doesnt mean they don't give an effect to what we hear.

Consider a concert hall with a symphony; the violins are rich in the high end and have an abundance of frequencies above 20khz. We can't hear those frequencies above 20khz, however its presence makes a difference in the audible sound spectrum, that's why its almost impossible to replicate the effect of a live symphony onto concrete music (cds, vinyl, hd, etc)

The same applies to the metro train getting closer to a station vs its low end below 20hz.

anyone who has ever been to see the MSO knows how mind blowing the sound of the instruments and how the hall is built work together to blow away the mind and ears.

Ya I saw the montreal symphony orchestra like 4 years ago and it was magical, these guys and gals are extrordinarily talented individuals, and the sound is epic, but not so loud that you want to put ear plugs in, more along the lines of... As close to perfect volume as you could hope for, and ya, what a treat.

i've been a few times, and what amazes me the most is how every instrument can be picked out and plays with the ear.
no i wasnt high either

i've heard that concordia frequently does faculty exchanges with julliard, so the instruction must be top notch.

they recently signed kent nagano to conduct it, so now is a great time to check it out.He is known to be some sort of genius/prodigy inthe world music community and we are really lucky to have a world class orchestra in this town.
