Is there a cable out there that could turn a mono rca into a full stereo rca? I'm trying to sample sounds from old video game systems but I just can't get the R side without using a mic. I use Ableton Live 5, so if there's another way other than actual hardware I want to know.

Yep. Use an RCA Y-lead/splitter like this:

Y-lead/splitter eh? never heard of that one...how about this one, know where to get a DB-9 Breakout cable for a Firebox? It's like a 9 pin serial port with 2 midi cables and a S/PDIF on the other end, hard as hell to find!!

Yeah those Y-leads are cheap enough in places like Tandy/Radio Shack.
