Anyone using Cubase SX with VStis and a VIrus INdigo!!??

with no midi controller.
i wanna setup cubase SX2, so it can record the virus on sync, and also use the virus to control and send midi input to virtual instruments. I used to do this in cubase but v.2.1, some has changed since. anyway can u hel me out.. should i go dive in the manual of both cubse and virus???
