SERATO BEWARE.... M-Audio Is Looking SEXY w/Ableton Integration!!!!
Holy Shit... First there was Final Scratch... Then Ms Pinky... Then Serato... Then Numark's Virtual DJ... and NOW M-AUDIO!!!!
Finally, someone reputable is stepping up to the plate and giving SERATO a Run For The Money!!!
M-Audio announced CONECTIV... A Hardware/Software DJ Combination that gives serato some serious competition. Not only can you manipulate MP3s on a Mac or PC using the vinyl, but you can now INTEGRATE ABLETON LIVE! and any other REWIRE Application. Plus, M-Audio has added PLUG INS and the software can be controlled via Vinyl, Midi Controller such as the Trigger Finger, internally, or with the included hardware. The possibilites are endless. And guess what! It's all less than $350!!!!!! WAY CHEAPER Than Serato...
I'm looking to get something like this next year when I get a new laptop, because the one I have is big and bulky with a desktop processor. When i'm away at college next year, i'm going to bring this (or something like it) and my laptop with me w/ableton and be able to make mixes that way, leaving my CDJs at home...

This seems interesting. I like the fact that you can use cds because going from cd to something like Live! sucks. With this price I will be checking it out fo sho.

i dont understand what the 2 large knobs are for.
input A -> usb A ??
*scratches head*
EDIT: Looking again, those look like knobs which allow you to choose (or mix) between the signal from your PC and the TT (if you were playing a regular vinyl, for example).
So... it looks like this allows you to use the interface as an audio interface to your mixer from any app. You can't do that with SSL/FS2, right? Their hardware only works with their specific SW?
Seems like a very cool way to integrate your laptop with your decks and throw ableton in there as well, all controlled with 1200's and a Midi pad. Very sexy.
Price point looks perfect as well!
