CD Decks?

Do the big DJ's e.g. Van Buuren use cd decks? just wondering? Thanks. I've just started to get into trance but i use vinyl decks, just wondering what the pros' use.

do they not use vinyl at all? Because i'm thinking about starting to mix trance tunes but i would get the mp3's and use final scratch to mix.

Vinyl, CD's, Laptops.... They're all used. Perhaps CD's more than anything else right now, but Burridge still plays a lot of Vinyl, PVD uses a laptop, and so forth and so on.

They're all used, use what you like.

I think Armin played about 10 CDR's in his last set and the rest was all vinyl. So when you come to record your first set, you must also use exactly 10 CDR's, and no more. I don't think Armin is using Final Scratch though, so you should probably steer away from that until he starts using it too.

sorry but you did sound like you just want to do what the big djs are doing. but anyway it depends on what genre you listen to at a trance event alot of djs have turned to cd but alot of vinyl still gets used at techno events you will see more vinyl getting used so it depends where you go really.

o.k. thanks, if i start djin trance i'm going to use vinyl because imo you aren't a proper dj unless you use vinyl. I will probably get some stick for this statement but thats just my opinion. lol
