been hearing it , been seeing it too, friends who had stores are no more...Sam The Record Man will be gone by month's end...2thebeat is gone also...it seems that downloadable content is here to stay...what to do with my thousands of records? hehehehe. ps..apple's itunes is now drm free(like that stopped me b4!!!)

There are still a very few DJs who still use all vinyl. One of my good friends is one of them. Carrying his bag into a club for a gig = needing physical therapy the next day + maximum strength pain killers.

they won't "die" but they will stop manufacturing them. over head is too high and demand is too low. it's just not worth it financially. i was reading and interesting article last year about how the companies that manufacture certain chemicals needed for the prodcution of vinyl records are going to discontinue them due to lack of demand. They estimated this to happen around 2009.

Moby Still spins only Vinyl.....nothing will beat vinyl.....there's something about a DJ spinning vinyl that makes me respect them more.
