iriver repair question

Have you had yours broken, because of aborting a firmware update ? Well mine broke just like that and they won't repair it here cause the whole electronics is broken and they don't have the parts (I have the US version of iriver T10 (1gb)).
If you had a similar problem: how much did it cost ya ? is it cheaper to buy a new player ?

My CD player broke twice. I got a replacement each time. Try contacting iRiver Europe or something like that.

i don't think its worth a shot. They said the whole electronics is fried and they don't have the parts to repair it. I guess it would cost as much as a new one

Dude...they sent me a new one...twice...they didn't repair it. I just got a new one in the mail. I don't see what the difference is here. And the first time it broke, it was well after the "warranty" expired. Just fucking tell them you had a power-out while upgrading the firmware or something.

I'm curious as to how the whole circuitry could just fry from something like that though.

If they still don't help you then tell them "Thanks for your lack of help. Next time someone asks me for advice on an MP3 player I'll make sure to NOT mention Iriver."
