for #2, use ctrl+Lclick drag to select notes. you can use ctrl+c and ctrl+v to copy and paste.

for #3 i think that when you are on the playlist window, and you have a pattern selected, press alt+up/down arrow to change patterns. i think that's what you wanted.

For quick quantisation you have to set your piano roll grid resolution to some other than the one in which you drew the notes. The QQ just means that Frooty quantises the starting points of the notes to the current grid.

For quantisation too you have to have notes drawn in a grid that is different from the quantisation grid you are going to apply to them. When you select quantise with alt + q, red vertical lines appear in the piano roll pattern. They indicate the quantisation grid that is going to be used. If you play close attention the notes in the piano roll, you can see how their start and end points change as you select a different groove template or tweak Start time, Sensitivity and Duration. The key is that you have to find a groove template and Start time, Sens., and Duration settings that result in a different quantisation grid than the current grid applied to your notes in the piano roll.

Hope this helps.

Well you can change the playlist quantization/snap grid by clicking on the box next to the topic "Playlist" in the playlist window. And if you check the playlist options > tools, there is only quick quantize (ctrl+q) there, which works in the same way as the piano roll quick quantize. Are you looking for some other type of quantization? It doesn't exist and I see no reason why you'd need it.
