Just wondering how many people love the sound of James Holden's Border Community Label. EXTRAWELT are playing live this week in Toronto and I heard rumors that nathan fake might be coming to town soon asweel. And considering James Holden just played here I think the label is starting to pick up real momentum. What yall think?

BALANCE 5 ....sleeper hit of 2003
I have been nothing but pleased with the releases on this Border Community label - really defined some moments for me from 2003-2004 and beyond....
Holden's December 12th 2003 party at System soundbar.....

when Mauro dropped Nathan Fake's - Outhouse in the Koolhouse - I thought I had gone to heaven - whoaa - never would have thought he would play that track........I lost it!
Missed James on his last outing here last weekend - but Nathan Fake I would love to hear a set by him to see what sounds he would lay upon on ears.....
where are EXTRAWELT playing in Toronto - do tell....

about border community...they happened to find a demo of mine a couple months back that i gave holden over a year ago and apparently they're really impressed and wanted to hear more from me....
me being the lazy, non-confident bastard i am, i didnt reply
i guess its too late now to do so with far better material
I had the chance to hear Nathan Fake at a Bpitch party in Berlin last year but we left the party before he came on...too bad.
I liked Holden's set, but there's something about Border Community and that sound that is permeating many techno DJs today that just doesn't really do it for me on a dancefloor. Deep, funky, layered minimal techno - yes; dark moody tech prog/trance - not as much.
I'm really curious to hear Misstress Barbara's BC release...not sure when it is due out though.
