I looked at the GameStop website....so PS3 is actually coming out on November 17th?

YEP, but they have been holding back pre-orders for a long time because of shortages, they don't want another 360 disaster...
so they are doing a one day pre-order, first come first serve....

Wow just wow DA had it right pure chaos.

So I woke up at the crack of dawn (8AM ) thats really early for me Went to the bank took 300 out of savings.

Went to Dunkin Donuts got a Dunkachino then parked at Gamestop looked up and there was a line of 10 kids at the door bunch of nerds too!! I talked to two of them who had been there since 10 last night. So I quickly sprinted down to the EBGames in the mall 10 min away. Got there all taken. Im freaking out at this point. There is another EB 5 min away (yes I must live in nerdville) and there is a line out the door for Ps3 and Wii. Finally im like ok I need to call my friend a few citys over to get a PS3.

I call him up and he says I "I told you I could hold them for you but I cant sorry man" so Im really depressed but he tells me where I can get one. Called that store up its about a hour away. Nothing still. So no PS3 for me I got fucked up the ass badly.

Oh and if you want to pre-order more than 1 you need to do it at seperate stores. Gamestop/EB only allows 1 per person and they take all your info down and send it to every store too.

Holy shit, that's insane! Sucks you can't get one. I def. won't be getting one anytime soon. Anyone have a solid figure for the price?

all games - 59.99 USD

its definitly a rich persons thing Ive been saving up for PS3 had my 600 in savings since spring when it was announced to be coming for XMAS. Probably would have trouble getting games but I think blockebuster will be getting a new customer once i get the PS3

Also Wii is sold out in my area too.

And If you think the PS3 is expensive the original cost of the Atari plus inflation would equal about 600 US now.

Damn. I'll have plenty of time to get one further down the line. I didn't get my PS2 until like 1 or 2 years after it came out, so I can wait on my PS3, but I KNOW I want one for sure. Hopefully prices will come down a little bit, cause $600 is just plain fuckin' retarded. The price is right up there (or higher perhaps) with the old Neo-Geo system, for fuck sake!

WORD! I really was depressed cuz ive circled the PS3 as the first system I could get with my own money on the date of release to be one of the "cool kids/guys" and have it and brag and whatever. Next shipments arent for a while the problem is that the popularity of it is there. Ive heard that Gamestop/EB is done with pre-orders so you can see already that ppl are willing to shell out 600 for it. I can see it going low did the Xbox drop about 100 already?

The games I dont get. 60 bucks for a game is retarted. 600 I can sorta see seeing all the shit and internet capability and bla bla. But 60 for a game. WTF especially when you have games that arent just onestops but yearly!
