The USA will eventually pull out as they did in Vietnam, hopefully under better terms and if diplomacy suceeds they will play a role in re-building the country with the help of Iran and Syria.

Iran and Syria are key in the long run, and I believe the US can talk to both of those countries and negotiate with them, they arent 100% unreasonable, or evil or any of that nonsense.

I also think that upon pulling out of Iraq the USA will demonstrate that they are now truly not capable of controlling smaller countries anymore, let alone the world.

Ya btw my point of view is a positive one, but uhhh, there's also the possibility (always when dealing with the US), that they will just refuse to negotiate properly with Syria and Iran and just fuck the whole thing up even worse.

IE: Chain of events something like...

-Sending 50,000 more troops to Iraq.
-Extending tours of duty (again).
-Writing up more random ass legislature that limits even more rights.
-Stage a fake terrorist attack on the super bowl and then completely restrict all rights and liberties then...

Of course the US will have to eventually pull out, but they will leave a horrible legacy on the nation. I think they may pull out with in 5yrs which is optimistic I think, otherwise give them a decade. However, with the new US govt in place they may want to pull out much sooner. But if you take Afghanistan as an example hope of reconstruction and stability would not seem so good.

In Afghanistan the US destroyed the country, and left a Canada with a fucked up mandate. Now Canadians soldiers are intruding on another culture that they have no business intruding on. Furthermore, i see this as a direct result as many other do of the election of our Mr. Harper a Conservative, and probably came to power with the help of some US pressure/influence for this and other capitalist purposes(specifically the recent announcement of spending some billions of dollars on arms purchases). If they pull out of Iraq and leave the newly created Iraqi Army in place, im not sure if they will be able to keep the peace if there ever is one.

Regarding the civil war, first off its fucking disgusting how many people have been dieing recently, its by the 100's now. But how far can they go? Whether or not the US pulls out, both the Sunni's and the (Iranian) backed Shies’ have a lot to gain (geographically speaking, the distribution of the oil). Following a hypothetical US withdrawal and if the two Islamic sects can settle their disputes only then would there be peace and stability. I think it will have to involve the religious leaders of Iran to call on their Iraqi counter parts to halt sectarian hostilities. Im not sure if an outside nation is backing the Sunni's. But, if the Shies’ stop hopefully then so would the Sunni's.

But all this is about the situation on the ground, im not sure how the two sects are getting along with the government.

Anyways I wrote this off the top of my head not much thought into, just what i know of. Hope it is understandable.

Besides I don’t even care about this shit anymore what’s to be done, the US will do what they want, and Iraq is already fucked, they could pull out anytime they wanted to and whats the world going to do...nothing...issue a resolution condemning it...wow, good job world! lol

The US has no plans to utilize Iraq´s oil reserves. Why would they?

Really messy, not much they us can do now, if they leave things won't change but they will get blamed for making things much worse. IF they stay things won't change and they will get blamed on invading Iraq.

As much as Saddam was ruthless and shit, invading Iraq was a mistake, after realizing that there was no WMD's they took the angle as if they were freeing the Iraqi people from a mass murderer. But what happened after that invasion was a huge collective genocide.

With the Democrats taking power many people are hoping for the best but things won't change, they would want to pull out with with the situation as it is, they just can't.

Next place to invade

1. Iran
2. Russia
3. Canada

Hopefully when they reach Canada on the list ... there wont be any use for petrol anymore *crosses fingers*
