The Departed - Scorsese's Back !!! *Spoiler Free*
* POST Contains NO spoilers !!! *
Terrific on every level. This is the movie that Scorsese fans have been waiting for. Powerful performances by all major cast memebers and a engaging story that will stay with you long after you have left the theatre.
Quite possibly one of the best films to be made in the last 3-4 years, and certainly the best film of 2006.
Go watch it NOW !!!
Ps. Please don't post spoilers for those who haven't had a chance to see it.

Bun a fat one, and enjoy the ride...
PS. Make sure you take a whizz before going in and avoid that supersize coke. The film runs almost 3 hours and it's hard to miss even a single second of it once it starts. Suffice to say, I'm pretty sure I set a world record exiting the threatre once the end credits rolled.

^^ was it really 3 hours?
If that's the case, the 3 hours went by really fast when I watched it.. great movie though. Terrific performance by Leo.
IMO DiCap actually stole the show. My biggest complaint though is that this movie IS a remake of Infernal Affairs and I have not had a change to watch the original. Suffice to say Scorcese did pull off another winner but I did not find his directing to be as effective as it usually is.. I had a hard time taking the movie really seriously... maybe that was his intention to add a little comedy to it.. nevertheless its quite a gripping story that should keep you glued to your seat until the end... until I see the original I can't call this a masterpiece whatsoever.
It was sooooooo good. The comedy added a lot, especially the quips between wahlberg and baldwin and damon's characters.

I haven't been to a theatre in ages. I would really like to check this movie out. I don't watch much TV, but the previews for this look mighty interesting.

there were a couple of open ends that pissed me off though. Other than that it was definately a great movie.

dilogue was better than average. Film was well below expectations. Violence, death and murder, its been done. Many times.
Jack was well below his standard.
DiCaprio, Damon and Wahlberg were all very good.
But the movie in general did not hold my attention other than to shock me and not shock me all at the same time, at the end.
