i believe that tech only works if a camera is recording behind the subject, and a projector is projecting on the subject from the other side.

This week some guys did actually create a thing where the structure takes the incoming radiation, transports it around the object and recreates it on the otherside so that none bounces back to the source, sort of a cloaking thing. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6064620.stm
