Not sure if I've heard that Knix remix, but I'm interested in hearing all of the stuff you mentioned. I just loved the Zero Gold album and the sound he had on that and what he's producing and remixing these days seems rather dry in comparison. |
His album stuff was quite different to the work that came before it also. In regards to what has happened - nothing has. He's just been spreading his wings, doing some different stuff and experimenting a bit. He's got a few collaborative ventures in the works, has finally got back in the studio to do some stuff with CP, and is already working on a second album and a few other projects.
Can't blame him for wanting a change after spending two years or so doing that album, and for all the people that don't like his new stuff because it's far removed from the old, there are many others that do, and his stuff gets support and attention from many DJs that were never into his older stuff, so it's all swings and roundabouts really.
Fear not, he's not totally changed his sound, so there will be more to come shortly that will keep long time fans happy, including an EP on Hope Recordings amongst other things.
