MIDI Keyboard

I'm starting to get into producing and was wondering what's a good MIDI to get. I was thinking of the X-station 49, but i'm not really sure what i should be looking for. What does a good MIDI keyboard have and which ones have those features?

Two things to look for in a good keyboard:

Keys that feel nice (semi-weighted/unweighted/etc.)
The right number of keys (trading off the # of octaves available for portability/size)

Forget about knobs and crap, most people rarely use them

yeah, I'm a proud owner of the xboard 49 and I can assure you, this baby will last you for a long time...

really...it's also well equipped (despite having great keys, very sensitive etc...) 16 knobs, USB + Midi out...which is great, cuz you can let's say record midi to your PC and trigger your hardware synth through the midi out etc...
