Is there trance for us bassheads?

I just recently started listening to trance and really like it...alot

I'm a basshead, have a nice setup and want to know if there are any dj's out there that produce music that dips sub 30hz?

What exactly is a basshead?

Does it involve fish?

basically i have 3 12" subwoofers in my trunk, i love loud bass thus i'm a basshead...

I was just curious if there is trance with fluctuating bass lines instead of the standard kick drum over and over and over throughout the song...

Uh your probably going to want to check out Hardstyle or Speedbass or stuff like that. If it's trance your after, the bassiest trance I know if is Psy trance, it's got very heavy bass. There's a lot of it out there...ask Rebel9, he's an expert on it.

Bassline instead of the kickdrum? Does that make any sense? It's like saying a car with wheels instead of the engine.

I would not agree on that. Psytrance has a lot of bass in the sense that the basslines are intense and sequenced with short notes on every step, usually with fairly high gain. But short bassnotes do most of the times not reach down that deep into the lowest frequencies and the highly pitched basskick is not the phatest kick around. So i would say psytrance is as bassy as other sorts of trance or less.

Okay, didn't know the specifics about the bass frequency levels it gets down to, but from listening to it, it seems to me to have a stronger bassline than epic and most certaintly than progressive.

I've really never understood some of these guy's fascination with bass though. Hearing these guys driving around with their trunks vibrating and you can hear it a mile away....that's just annoying haha. I'de much rather listen to tracks for the melodies and nice smooth beats vs. the bassline. Sure it's cool to have a good bassline, but that's not what makes a track good or enjoyable, to me at least. Just a lil rant, haha.
