Um, I really do not know much about Behringer products. I guess they would be alright to start on. Um, I guess the second one looks cooler.

Good Luck,

Mike

Agreed... It should be the only one mentioned to look at... Even if you are a beginner chances are you will get shitty fader leaks, sticking buttons or general problems with any behringer peice of shi.. I mean equipment.

You don't need more frustration when you are starting.

This may be of some use to you for traktor use and connecting to a mixer

http://www.native-instruments.com/i...4348e987ac5f09c

Someone correct me if Im wrong but unless you have separate outputs in your soundcard for each deck in traktor, you will need a midi controller mixer? What that page on NI's site seems to say is that you use a "multichannel audio interface such as AUDIO KONTROL 1" which seems to split the signal for use with a standard mixer like the ones youre looking at.

As for your mixer, Id go the DX052 if anything

Yes, your right. You would need a soundcard with seperate outputs to mix with Traktor. I started off using that program to mix with. I used a M-Audio external souncard. I tried a midi controller too, and preferred the mixer while using Traktor instead of the midi controller. Thats just me though. There are lots of ways to do things.

Rock On,

Mike

Mixing with most MIDI controllers REALLY SUCKS, they aren't layed out for DJ use, the faders and knobs are cheap.

There are a few MIDI controllers now that are at least DJ oriented for applications like traktor/torq/etc:

Behringer BCD-2000

M-Audio X-Session Pro

Hercules DJ Console

Normally I would say these also reside on the "cheap" side of equipment, but they are probably in the same class as the mixers you've been looking at.
