How long before you're allowed to go postal?

How long?? I've just sooo HAD it with people!

People who say they will show up to be there for you but instead they can't show up cause the did their body weight in cocaine and can't function. Or years of support and attendance.. counts for what in the end?? Nothing!

people who are supposed to meet you for dinner but smoke too much pot and eat at home leaving you going ummmmm... hello?

People who live 3 states away, you make plans to go visit and see some dj, first being your birthday.. they don't show and owe ya one... same for the next... then on the third try... same thing! Despite a months notice to get your shit together??

Roommates who get fired from their job and spend what little money they have left on 40-bags rather than contributing to rent.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!!!!!!?????

I guess everyone kinda goes through those phases where they think they can't rely on anyone and nothing around you is real.

Sometimes I think that if I weren't into EDM I wouldn't be surrounded by completed idiots/douchebags/selfish junkies.

i agree with this very much.

ive been through some bad roommate situations and i have dumped most of those so called "friends." this is also one of the reasons why i dont use the word friend so loosely anymore. you are an acquaintance until i consider you a friend. this means that i trust you to be just as good a friend that i am. i can rely on you. you can rely on me.

don't you think it's kind of unfair to blame your poor decisions in friendships on EDM? not everyone who enjoys dance music is a sketchball... in fact most of my friends are into EDM, and they aren't unreliable wastoid drug-addicts like the people you speak of.

it seems that most people who make poor decisions always look for somewhere else to place the blame.

+1

Reminded me that twice in my life, I asked a girl out, she said "yes", made plans with her and then she would simply disappear. The last time it happened, I called the girl and she said she couldn't remember what day of the week it was - patiently, I forgave her and we met.

That was the worst date I've ever had in my whole life

There are lots of leeches and douche bags in the world. The quicker you can identify and avoid them the better your life will be.

Maybe... and definately probable. I'm not trying to blame EDM, but it's the medium through which I make bad decisions then.... people who seem one way... then end up another.

And I'm not good at it; obviously. I get dupped all the time.

But how can you really go about re-vamping everyhting like that? It's not like you can return the people you know to blockbuster and check out new ones. You can't go to the bar and stroll up to someone and go "hey... wanna be friends?" they'll think you're a nutjob!

It seems to me that you've been pretty unlucky in who you have around you. It has to be hard to just leave a group of friends behind, but I'd be on the lookout for opportunities to hang with new people. There are so many cool, interesting people out there. Now you just have to cross paths with them.
