Ive really been into hip hop and rap nowadays, at least old skool stuff. I dont really enjoy most of the new stuff. Most of them are crap in my opinion, at least for the hip hop side, but even rap has been poor.
I want to get a sense of what kind of stuff everyone likes here and maybe mention some tracks I havent heard of. Discuss!

You know your hip hop, Big L was a gifted lyricist who got shot in front of his building in harlem because he was mistaken for his brother. I own every unreleased track that was produced and his Big Picture album. He was one of the rare emcees who I would compare to Big Pun as far as skills go.
