my thoughts on Tommy Lee, and the bouncers @ the guv
so i just got home from the guv, and let me tell you, i was quite disappointed..got there just before midnight with the line moving moderately fast and it wasn't packed, YET..so around 1:30-2:00am, Tommy Lee and DJ Aero came on, and that's when it started to get PACKED!! couldn't move at all, at least not where i was..the first half of his set pretty impressive, focusing on more of a hard, techno-trance sound, which was sick..so thought to myself, this Tommy Lee guy isn't so bad..so then maybe after half an hour or an hour into their set some chick comes on stage and starts singing..i guess they collaborated on a track or somethin..they didn't mention her name, not that i know of, and you couldn't hear a fucking word she was saying, it was almost as if she was mumbling..also, her mic volume seemed kinda low and NOBODY was dancing or really giving a shit about this chick..they should've booed her to get off the stage..so then after this 10 plus minutes of torture, she was gone..i guess they decided to slow down their set when they "resumed". boy did it ever suck, the beats were TOO slow..so then Tommy Lee had his own little "solo" part of the set..it was sad, really, the man has no skill!! that's when i decided to head to the Gallery, which was a good choice!! his overall set was okay, i'd give it a 7.2 out of 10..
and ahh yes, the bouncers..when his set was starting i decided to video record the first few minutes of his set..as i was recording, a big hand reached over and tried to snatch away my camera..i wasn't gonna let my baby, so i held onto it..so then he walks over to me and says, "Delete those pictures!!"..i was having a bit of a hard time deleting it, so he gets impatient and says, "delete those pictures or i will kick you out!!" so i deleted it, and i showed him the pics that are left on my camera..so then he walks away..there was another incident where a guy was taking pictures with his phone, and the fucking bouncer just shoved it out of his hand onto the floor..i couldn't believe my eyes, people were either getting in shit or getting kicked out because they were taking pics..gimme a fucking break..after i left the club i asked one of the bouncers why you couldn't take pictures of him, and he simply said, "cuz it's Tommy Lee, he's a big celebrity"..how sad..another incident i had with the bouncers happened when i was going to the Gallery from the Guv..as i was heading there, a bouncer was walking towards me..being the gentlemen that i am, i kinda got out of his way..so then what does he do?? he gives me a nice big elbow to my chest..i'm like WTF!?!? but i didn't actually say that to him, otherwise i wouldn't gotten kicked out, lol.
that's my night..music was OK, and the bouncers were assholes!!
