Who is this spinning from 1995?

I got this tape back in good ol 1995.

It was my first trance tape, the one that started it all. But I can't figure out who it is.

I thought it was Kimball Collins for the last 10 years as it appeared about the same time he spun in Charleston in the summer of 95", but I was able to chat with him and forwarded him the mp3 and got confirmation that it was not him.

The other lead is that it may be from the Liquid Sky label. Could mean something, probably not but it's a lead nonetheless.

The file is 8.20mb, so I suggest only downloading it if you plan on trying to figure who it is, or enjoy really good old school trance. There is one place on the tape where it had popped from being played too much, so it was taped. But one bad place on the tape isn't bad for as many times as it had been played.

The original MP3 after being converted from a tape to MP3 came out to 47mb, Putfile made me trim it down so thats how it ended up at 8.2mb. So that should explain the crappy quality.

Also interested in the name of the 2 songs between 18:00 and 30:00 minutes in.

wow, I stumped a trance forum.

hmm, well it's a mixed tape that must have made the rounds in the south (carolinas/GA/FL) in the mid 90's

Is this just too old for most of the members here?

damn, thank you.

the 2 songs in the middle between 18:00 and 30:00 mins in are the 2 I'm gonna go nuts trying to find :P

I had searched Discogs and found Gloria, I then traced every mix compilation it appeared in commercially and verified that the it was none of those.

slowly closing in on all the track IDs. Once I get them all I'm going to track down the vinyl and recreate it.

I sat on AudioJelly last night for a couple hours and went through the Art of Trance and Union Jack catalogs with little success.

I eventually emailed info@platipus and sent them the mix seeing if I could get the 2 tracks ID'd.

/crosses fingers

I sat on AudioJelly.com for a couple hours tonite and ran through most of the early platipus releases with little luck.

However, there was a song I left off the recording because it was severly chopped that I was able to identify

07. Technossomy - Electron Bender

another platipus track.

if it wasn't for that Trope Recordings release of Amphetamine I would guess thay were all Platipus. But maybe thats the next lead; I'll start digging through the Trope releases around that time as one of the songs in question could be a B side.
