I think we have this on vhs but i dont really remember watching it. I'll have to watch it sometime.

As Chach mentioned, it's a segment from the Disney film Fantasia.

It's from back in a time when artists had to draw things by hand and put a lot more soul into their work - much more than most modern cg animated films, in my opinion.
